50 percents seats for boys and girls in Medical

Latest Update About UHS 

PMDC issued a notice which stated that equal seats will be available for both boys and girls in all Medical colleges. Now this created a confusion if this decision will be implemented this year or the next. Different news channels give different news about this matter. A fellow went UHS last day and asked them about this topic, here is what she got:

"I went to UHS and talked to Atif the director of media and publications of UHS. He said 50% quota system is not applicable this year. And was astonished why people are thinking so when it's clearly mentioned in the prospectus".

On the other hand different newspapers are publishing this news that Quota system has been implemented, merit will be based on the new system this year.

Syllabus for Nust Entrance Test (NET)

Syllabus for Nust Entrance Test

Some of the books of Federal Board have been changed so this creates a confusion from which books we should prepare for the Nust Entrance Test?

We have two categories of students:

a) The students who appeared in Fsc part 1 exams recently and are in part 2 now. These are studying the new course.

b) Repeaters. These studied the old course.

In case test is made from new course, repeaters might be at loss and in other case the fresh students at loss.This time Nust decided to conduct the tests from the previous books. One of the main reasons for this step is that Nust already had a question bank which is being used since last two years for NETs. In order to make new questions for the tests they would need much time.

This is a good news for the repeaters but a bad one for freshies as they have to go through both the books. The news about the syllabus is confirmed from Nust admission office. A screenshot of email is attached  in this post as a proof.

According to the Nust administration the schedule of NET for the year 2015 will almost be the same as was in year 2014. So below is the tentative Schedule of tests for 2015 sessions. There can be a minor changes in it, in that case we will announce them. This schedule will be followed for all the fields that are being offered in Nust ( Medical , Engineering, Business Studies, BS Math, BS Physics, Arts).

Schedule of NET-1:

Registration Starts: November 17, 2014
Registration Ends:  December 18th, 2014
Test Dates: December 20, 2014 - January 2015

Schedule of NET-2:

Registration Starts: March 7th, 2015
Registration Ends: April 7th, 2015
Test Dates: March 25th - April 12th, 2015

Schedule of NET-3:

Registration Starts: May 9th, 2015
Registration Ends: June 15th, 2015
Test Dates: June 14th - July 14th , 2015

Timings of the test
The test will be held in two sessions in a day. First session will be from 9 am - 12 pm and the second session from 2 pm - 5 pm. The date and time for the test will be selected by the candidate during registration process.
